Bringing balance to your life

My mission with Heal To Last is to help you improve your emotional wellbeing.  I will use my training and life experiences to help you be more content with who you are and give you the capacity to cope with whatever stresses and triggers come up in your life.

I have a strong connection to nature and based my career on that connection, working for years in corporate management roles in planning and environmental management. During that time I have increasingly enjoyed coaching and mentoring my workmates to build their potential. Helping them through the emotional burdens that working in a high pressure, high workload enviroment places on them and providing them a safe environment to share when they have needed help. Another part of my career to date has been bushfire fighting and I have seen and felt first hand the stress, disruption and trauma that emergency response can bring to your life.

My own journey towards emotional balance has taught me that everybody has challenges in their life. For all the amazing things that I have, and have been able to do in my life, I have had times where my mental health has not been great. There have been times where I have been the typical guy who thought I was responsible for everything and didn't feel or talk about my feelings. At times I have felt that life is too hard, that I can't be who I am, that I am just not good enough and that my life had no purpose. I have disconnected from my life and my feelings to deal with tough experiences and fallen into depression.

Over the years I have tried a lot of different things to improve my mental and physical health. I have worked with some incredible practitioners, learnt so much about myself and felt better for it. While working on myself a strong pull towards wanting a change has developed. Despite that feeling I was unsure what that change looked like and lacked the confidence to go out there and make it happen.

I discovered Self Directed Healing in a moment of intuition, that told me that it was meant to be. I was so excited to see what it was all about that I signed up for a session and I can honestly say it changed my life. Self Directed Healing has completely removed strong emotions and beliefs about myself that I had felt for so long and could not move.

I look forward to sharing the power of Self Directed Healing with you.

Working with me you can expect a caring, safe, inclusive and non-judgemental space.

I am dedicated to working to help you with any emotion or belief that you want help with. Based on my life experiences and training there are some additional areas that I am interested to work in:

  • Building self-confidence

  • Being your true self

  • Men’s health

  • First responder mental health

  • Relationships

  • Career direction and change

  • Sports performance

I pride myself on my inclusivity and I am keen to work with and learn from people from all walks of life.

Kookaburra Spirit

The inspiration for the happy kookaburra that is the Heal To Last logo comes from the kookaburras that share my home.

The kookaburra's laugh is an iconic Australian sound. It is hard to not have your mood lifted when you hear it.

When Kookaburra spirit flies into your life its big, bold energy asks you to pay attention to the world around you. A healing is taking place, and there are messages to be heard. Their advice is to let go of all past hurts and patterns that no longer serve you. It is also reminding you to support those in your life going through difficult times.

Personally, I think the kookaburra is the perfect symbol for Heal To Last.

On a personal note:

When I am not helping clients you can find me spending time with my wife and doggos. I love spending my time outdoors in nature, particularly at the beach. It's the best way to recharge and reconnect with myself. Travelling and experiencing new places and cultures, is another passion. I am also a keen photographer and many of the photos in this website are my own.

At home I enjoy reading, watching movies, listening to and playing music or being out in the garden.
